The University Area Joint Authority (UAJA) owns and operates the Spring Creek Pollution Control Facility (Facility) located along the boundary of Benner Township and College Township in Centre County, Pennsylvania


  • UAJA is the largest microgrid in Pennsylvania
  • Over a 25 year period, UAJA is estimating to save about $10 million
  • Offers protection to customers from a rate increase
  • This microgrid will continue to provide power to the treatment plant even if there’s a power failure
